Tips for Ice Climbers

Make sure to practice desyncing in training mode. Consistency in desyncing is extremely important while playing Icies.
Don't over desync in neutral. Keep them synced unless you know a specific reason to desync at that moment, think of it like throwing out too many of the same move
you can desync in netrual as a bait if you keep track of which climber you are using a move with at that given time. whichever climber isnt using a move can punish the opponent trying to jump over you
Try to mix up your options against a projectile character like go high and go low it will help you a lot in your journey of Ice climbers
Very good desync combo (I'm going to try to explain the best that I can): 1). Grab with popo while desyncing as nana 2). Down throw and buffer down b before the throw animation ends
up tilt> spam up air on them easy combo
Ice climbers can be extremely difficult to use outside of a 1v1. If Popo gets separated from Nana, it’s difficult to keep track of them!
If you are going to desync in neutral, neutral special is a highlight for it, and short hop down special can be useful as well, but don't overuse it (down special)
If your opponent likes to skip ledge and go straight to stage, try desyncing and down b ing while sometimes jumping, this can force them to ledge by creating a wall of hitboxes
1. Cheer cancel jump(CCJ) 2. Footstool out of down throw 3. Cancel footstool with immediate downward air-dodge 4. Ice block with Popo 5. Blizzard with Nana 6. Repeat til at ledge 7. CCJ f-air at ledge
One way to time side b during down throw is to buffer roll and then side b, this can be EXTREMELY useful in desync combos, and can guarantee you an up tilt up air up air ar low to 0 percent
A very simple desync in neutral that you can do in between stocks or at a very far distance is shield and a + b smash attack, this way the main climber grabs while the secondary climber smash attacks.
