When Ness is off stage and uses PK Thunder, jump onto him and absorb the lightning ball before he hits himself with it. You can easily recover after that with your trampoline.

Use bucket to collect PK Fire and PK Thunder if Ness is trying to keep you off stage or start a combo.[Travis:)]

If you get caught in a PK Fire, mash or hold down special to instantly get a full bucket when you manage to escape the flames.

Ness's Side-B does give you a full bucket, but it won't deal a lot of damage. Keep your bucket empty to absorb PK Thunders, it's way more useful that way.
